Job Title: IT Auditor

Location: Remote

Summary of Job Description:

Do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills? Are you a self-motivated individual with IT and audit experience? Do you like working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment? If so, this job may be a good fit for you.

We currently have an opening for a remote It Auditor. In this role, you’ll directly support our client with audits, remediation, and corrective action implementation.

What you will be doing:

  • Performing tests of internal controls over financial systems.
  • Developing corrective action plans (CAPs) for identified control weaknesses in conformance with the federal government
  • Documenting business and systems processes to include key controls over financial reporting and systems operations
  • Monitoring and reporting the status of corrective action plans for identified control weaknesses.
  • Interfacing and communicate with clients to build and maintain relationships and communicate task status for assigned areas.

Qualities and skills you need to have:

  • Familiarity with SSAE-18

  • Well-established DoD IT auditor, CISA certified.
  • Threeto six years of IT Auditing, systems accounting or OMB Circular A-123 documentation and/or testing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of DoD FIAR requirements.
  • Involvement in IT/systems audit process (identifying control objectives, developing test plans, performing testing, documenting test results, submitting and implementing CAPs)
  • Experience with FISCAM and conducting OMB Circular A-123 internal control assessments for financial reporting, financial systems, and operations.
  • Experience with DoD Financial statements and associated reconciliations, testing, etc.

Job Title: Federal Financial Analyst

Location:  Hybrid; Washington, D.C.

Education and Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Government and Public Administration, or related field
  • Six (6) or more years of relevant experience in leading or supporting large tasks, demonstrated ability to manage a project and to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks
  • Desired: Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)

What you will be doing:

Job Title: Federal Financial Consultant

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

Education and Desired Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, financial management or related business administration discipline
  • 2 years of federal financial management experience preferred 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing contract support team produced items in accordance with established RMIC program requirements.
  • Collaborating with Government personnel during the creation of contractor developed deliverables prior to ensure Government feedback and perspective is incorporated into the product prior to formal submission.
  • Identifying and developing opportunities to improve the RMIC program.
  • Providing administrative support for working sessions with Government personnel related to RMIC program activities.
  • Reviewing Government program documentation for adherence to established RMIC program documentation and identifying gaps for corrective actions.
  • Providing inputs to the bi-weekly task order activity reports and monthly project plan progress reports.
  • Assisting with developing process focused key supporting documentation (KSD) for processes associated with the assigned MSC (e.g., process maps, process narratives, standard operating procedures, job aids etc.).
  • Conducting process walkthroughs to validate process documentation and to identify and document process and / or controls gaps.
  • Assisting with developing process objectives and identifying risks associated with those objectives.
  • Assisting with developing internal control documentation including control objectives, control activities, and test plans for Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Effectiveness (TOE) for approval by the Government.
  • Assisting with TOE and TOD testing and documenting test results.
  • Assisting with maintaining required RMIC program documentation using Agency provided templates (e.g., risk register, risk and control matrix, aggregated test results and conclusions matrix, internal control evaluation plan (ICEP), Assessable Unit Project Plan etc.).
  • Assisting with creating corrective action plans (CAPS) for identified control deficiencies and other self-identified RMIC program deficiencies.
  • Assisting with developing CAP closure packages.

  • Serving as technical advisor in resolving complex issues relating to accounting operations.
  • Providing technical guidance in reviewing agency accounting systems policies, regulations, and operations.

Job Title: Audit Consultant

Location: DC Metro Area

In this role, you’ll support federal government agencies with various Grants Management projects. These projects could include technical support to grantees and subject matter expertise to grants specialist for audits responses, corrective action, and resolution. assessment of grants management business processes, and other grant reviews.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Supports the review of draft audit findings and works with grantees to identify possible explanations for exceptions.
  • Supports grantees in compiling information to support circumstantial evidence for exceptions for responses to draft findings.
  • Collaborates with grantees to develop corrective action/remediation plans to resolve audit findings.
  • Provides technical assistance to grantees to execute corrective actions and evidence completion of remediation activities for audit resolution.
  • Reconcile financial systems against internal spreadsheets, including status of funds and obligations reports, to ensure accuracy and proper data entry.
  • Draft quarterly accruals
  • Draft/review regular Fixed Asset and Capitalization exercises
  • Assist in review and drafting of Treasury 7600 A&B (IAA (Interagency Agreement)) forms for proper execution.

Location: Richmond, VA

Education and Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field  
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in disciplines related to financial management, accounting, internal controls, risk management, or auditing. This experience may include federal employment, military service, private sector employment, or a combination thereof. Two years of experience may be substituted with a:
    o    Graduate degree in accounting or related field. 
    o    Current certification as a CPA, CRMP or CGFM.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating support activities with Government personnel.
  • Assigning and scheduling work and tasks to team members.
  • Reviewing contract support team produced items for quality and adherence to established RMIC program requirements.
  • Providing strategic advice and recommendations to improve RMIC program.
  • Coordinating with Technical Leads at the other MSC locations to support standardization of RMIC program efforts across these organizations.
  • Facilitating working sessions with Government personnel related to risk management and internal control activities.
  • Preparing and delivering leadership briefings and recurring reports.
  • Reviewing Government program documentation for adherence to established RMIC program documentation and providing recommendations for improvement when needed.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan in support of local RMIC program needs and Agency guidance.
  • Collaborating with Government personnel to provide opportunities to review and provide input to contractor developed deliverables prior to formal submission.
  • Submitting contractually required deliverables to the Government for approval in formats specified by the Government or Prime contractor.
  • Updating and maintaining the master deliverables tracking file to ensure it is continuously updated and accurate.
  • Ensuring required deliverables are delivered to the Government in accordance with the overall project schedule or mutually agreed upon dates.
  • Creating bi-weekly task order activity reports and monthly project plan progress reports

Qualities and Required Skillsets:

  • A minimum of three years of experience with federal government internal controls or related programs – DoD or DLA experience preferred.
  • A working knowledge of OMB Circular A-123 and the GAO Green Book (Standard for Internal Control in the Federal Government), with the ability to summarize or articulate such authoritative guidance to client stakeholders to produce deliverables.
  • Program or project management experience.
  •  Proven ability to utilize technical skills to determine the appropriate work approach and assign tasks to support staff by providing guidance or direction on inputs, outputs, and desired results.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising, training, coaching, and/or mentoring support staff.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in interviewing personnel to assess technical skills and personality fit within the team.
  • Working knowledge of SFFAS No. 4 and its interpretations.
  • Knowledge of DoD’s heritage assets.
